You would know the secret of death. But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?
– Kahlil Gibran
Death and dying are learned by witnessing the people around us. What have you learned about death from your loved ones? What have you learned from media? What are you curious about? What would you like your death to look like? How would you like to support your loved ones in their dying? What is dying really like? What is it like to support someone while they are dying?
Come to one of my events and learn more.

Writing your advance directive can be a daunting task. It is a document that is fraught with meaning and that can be vitally important to ensuring that your wishes will be followed when it comes to your medical care and the means of your dying, should you be unable to communicate at any point.
This class will walk you through the process of writing your advance directive in four distinct sessions. We will talk through the practical issues as we go through the Five Wishes (or equivalent for your state, should Five Wishes not be appropriate for where you’re located. We will also process the feelings that arise while going through this process.
